"CAT and Genny": Cable Avoidance Tools

Do you need to dig below the surface? Do you know what is under the ground?

Often referred to as a 'CAT and Genny', Cable Avoidance Tools (CATs) are an essential part of safe digging practices.

We all have a legal duty to identify buried services BEFORE we begin to dig, whether it's with an excavator or by hand.

Many people don't realise these tools should be used together to effectively help you locate buried conductors below the surface.

This course is designed to give you the understanding of how a CAT and Genny works, the types of conductors they can locate and how to confidently use them to help identify buried services.
