GOSHA Health & Safety Week
Guernsey’s Health & Safety Awareness Week Begins 16 January 2012 – will you take part?
The Guernsey Occupational Safety and Health Association (GOSHA) would like the number of serious Guernsey workplace injuries to fall from its 2010 level of 399 and are planning a number of events during Guernsey’s H&S Awareness Week to highlight how injuries happen and how they can be avoided:
Monday 16 January – A health & safety supplement in the Guernsey Press
Tuesday 17 January – Asbestos Awareness (breakfast meeting at La Villette Hotel)
Wednesday 18 January – Office Safety (breakfast meeting at Moores Hotel)
Thursday 19 January – Awards Dinner (at OGH) – sponsored by Insurance Corporation
Friday 20 January – Risk Assessment (breakfast meeting at Les Cotils).
The talks are FREE and are open to all. Places are strictly limited on a first come, first served basis.
If you register on or before Friday 13 January 2012 you may also have a continental breakfast served from 7.45am without charge.
Each breakfast meeting begins prompt at 8am and lasts no more than 1 hour - please arrive in good time.
Further events are planned on 22 March, electrical safety in the workplace and 24 May human factors in workplace safety
Please contact our secretary Jonathan Coyde at firstname.lastname@example.org to register for any of the above events and to be added to our mailing list.
GOSHA is a not for profit association formed in 2004 and run by unpaid volunteers with the aim of helping Guernsey workplaces to be safe & healthy.
